Cupboard-ful of goodies!

Let me apologise for the photo diarrhoea ahead first. :P
This is a showcase of some of my works, all arranged together in a miniature cupboard!

Miniature cupcake cases! Handmade by yours truly, with real baking sheets! :)

Hopefully some of you lovely frequent readers recognise the tarts, breads and cakes! :)

Some plates and bowls stacked away for future baking sessions! :)

And for a better idea of scale.

The cupboard measures at 12cm tall and 7cm wide.

Don't you wish you had a pastry cupboard like that too? I know I do! :P

Nigiri and Onigiri!

As promised for the Japanese food lovers, here are some basics of Japanese fare.

Salmon nigiri is a must for most when dining at sushi bars!

They measure at 0.5cm long.

Pictured here with three fat onigiris! A little fun fact, the Japanese often bring these out in their lunchboxes, as the salty filling is able to prevent the rice from spoiling even after it has cooled. :)

They measure at 1cm long! :)

Hopefully that will satiate some of you with Japanese food cravings now! :)

Do be patient for the arrival of my food jewellery collection which I am currently still hard at work at making. They would be for all of you who would love to wear miniature food (12 times smaller than your actual food!) around with you, and I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't. :P Also, they would make unique gifts for friends and family, and I welcome anyone who wants a particular food item made into jewellery (rings, earrings, necklace/bracelet charms).

For dollhouse enthusiasts or collectors, do feel free to email me for quotes on pieces of any food item shown here on my blogshop, that you're interested in. :)

Marbled Chocolate Tart

A drizzle of white chocolate over a rich base pour of dark chocolate, topped with a plump raspberry. They're pictured here with my previous creations - choc-cheese-crumbs. :)
Measuring at 1cm in diameter.

Something non-food for a change! :) Here are some handpainted jugs, made in 1:12 scale. The sunny floral ones measure 2cm in height and darker shade ones with golden lining measure 2.5cm in height.

i have to thank Marlie's wonderful instructions on making these jugs. :)

Anyone into sushi and japanese food? You don't wanna miss on the next post!! :P

'choc-cheese-crumb' cheesecake tarts.

Blogger has been down for so many days, but FINALLY i've been able to solve the problem
and am reviving the blogshop again! :)

Here's my belated serving of 'Triple Cs, choc-cheese-crumb' cheesecake tarts.

A serving of chilled cheesecake with a graham cracker crust served with a rich pour of velvety chocolate sauce.

A trio of fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint leaves sit atop the dessert.

i spent DAYS rolling the little tiny raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. :) They are EXTREMELY tiny, about 2mm across.

Triple Cs, choc-cheese-crumb is 12th scale by the way (meaning that for it is 12 times smaller than the size of the real-life version), and is NOT EDIBLE as it's entirely made out of polymer clay. :) It measures 1cm in diameter across the cake.

Some may wonder why do I keep making all of these miniature goodies, as they may look pretty sitting on a table but has no real practical use. WELL, all of the mini foods I'm making will be eventually made into jewelry and other useful items! (which I'm keeping a secret for now. :))

So stay tuned for that when it happens, and I am also on the search for a bazaar stall/cart to showcase my items. Anyone with offers for that are welcome to email me! :)

It is nearing the end of July, meaning it is close to the end of my vacation! :) So, I'm open to all new orders and do keep them coming into my mailbox at joce_1987@hotmail.com!

Nutty Carrot Cake

I'm back from Brisbane!

The shop is still on vacation mode, so I wouldn't be processing any customisations. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I've been unproductive! :)

Nutty Carrot Cake

This is specially for the kids! - a delightful mix of nuts and sweet carrots and thickly glazed with cream cheese frosting. Kids would be thrilled with the fun carrot shape and its crispy crunch!

Japanese Butter Cake

Fluffy cake with a buttery fragrance!

Hazelnut Cream Trio

Delightful trio of dark chocolate, milk chocolate and hazelnut cream cake, with a chocolate glaze topped with a lightly roasted hazelnut.

Simple Ol' Chips!

This is Australian-inspired, as we had this almost every other day! Over there, they call fries chips. Like, in fish and chips! :)

Scooting off to a chilly place!

Hi my dear readers and customers! :)

I'm not sure if everyone will notice the little change in the side panel, noting my vacation mode. But here is a reminder! :)

I will be away for vacation, from now till the end of July. I will still reply emails during that period, albeit not so often (every 3 days at least), but of course I will not be able to process any orders during that period. I can't possibly lug my entire work equipment and that heavy oven on vacation with me (though a small part of me would really like to :)).

Therefore, all orders that have been placed (before today) have already been processed and delivered, and I will not be able to accept any orders which have to be processed/collected by any date before 31st July 2009.

Thank you for your understanding, and I hope all of you will be having fun during this vacation period too! :)

And just to clarify, that little comic above is to showcase two sculpted penguins I've not had the chance to put up, and to perhaps convey a simple moral lesson about 'looking on the bright side'. :)

It is not to suggest in any way, that I'll be going to Antarctic for my vacation. :P

love.

NOM NOM NOM.

Dorayaki with red beans
Dorayaki is a Japanese dessert of two small pancakes wrapped around a generous filling of sweet redbeans. Some may remember it better as Doraemon's favourite treat! :)

Chocolate chip cookies

A bottle stocked with many many little chocolate chip cookies! (last time i counted, there were 62!)

Awfullychocolatey Cake

Twin slices of dark chocolate cake sandwiching a thick layer of milk chocolate mousse. Decorated with a pile of chocolate curls, and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.

It's named 'AwfullyChocolatey cake' for a reason!

A glass of milk please!

Chocolate chip cookies!

One of the greatest afternoon treats would be to settle down with a plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and a glass of cold milk. And a lovely book for reading while crunching down on those cookies. :)

Sighh. I wish this were real sized and not measuring only 7mm each.
